Daemonic Magick for Emotional Well-Being

For those grappling with anger, anxiety, or mild depression, working with the Daemonic can serve as a powerful tool to regain balance and clarity.

When working on these mental health well-being issues, you might connect with Daemons known for their grounding, healing, or transformative energies. Consider the following:

Belial: Often associated with the earth element and self-governance, Belial can help ground you during episodes of anger and frustration, encouraging you to regain control of your emotions.

Leviathan: Can help you step outside your emotions and observe them, which can be rather calming.

Marbas: Known for his healing nature, Marbas can assist in addressing the root causes of anxiety and any physical manifestations of stress that you might be experiencing.

Astaroth: She is often linked to uncovering hidden truths (divination) and friendship. In actuality, she can offer clarity and insight that may be crucial when dealing with mild depression. She can also help you make connections with others (for support) – which can be important when we’re feeling stressed, anxious, or depressed.

Obviously – there are entire hierarchies of Daemons for you to sift through to find more spirits that might be helpful in these areas.

EMOTIONAL WELL BEING RITUAL:

Choose a quiet, undisturbed area for your ritual. Adorn it with symbols or sigils of the Daemon you’re working with. Include candles, incense, or items that resonate with your intention and/or the Daemonic force you’re working with. Offerings during your ritual can be symbolic and need not be elaborate. For example, herbs, stones/crystals, or a written note of your intentions can suffice. In Daemonolatry, a lot of our rituals are “request rituals” where a written note of intention is used. When a Daemonolater burns a written note of intention, the fire and smoke alchemizes the note and “sends it” to the Daemonic Divine.

You would begin by centering yourself through deep breathing or meditation. (I recommend meditation for anyone with anxiety, anger issues, and stress BTW.)

Chant or recite the Daemonic enn for the spirit you’re working with (or write your own invocation) until the energy in the room changes. Addressing the Daemon respectfully, state your intention clearly whether in your mind or aloud. For instance: “Belial, I call upon your grounding energy to help me navigate my anger and find balance.”

Spend some time in silent meditation, focusing on the qualities of the Daemon and how they align with your emotional goals. Visualize the Daemon’s energy enveloping you, helping to calm your mind, ease your anxiety, or bring clarity to your thoughts.

Close the ritual by thanking the Daemons for being present.

Daemonic magick doesn’t need to be confined to ritual though. You can integrate it into your daily life by invoking the Daemon and stating affirmations like the following:

For anger: “With Belial’s grounding energy, I find peace and control.”

For anxiety: “Marbas’ healing presence guides me to calm and clarity.”

For depression: “Astaroth’s wisdom illuminates my path to purpose.”

Repeat these affirmations daily to reinforce your connection and intention.

You might also consider keeping a journal to document your experiences, emotional shifts, and any insights gained through your practice. Writing can be a cathartic process, helping you process your emotions and track your progress.

Don’t forget to consider herbal and elemental correspondences because they can enhance your magick’s efficacy. Some ideas to consider:

Anger: Work with grounding herbs like sage or patchouli, and incorporate the element of earth, such as stones like hematite or obsidian, into your rituals. Or just wear a stone pendant that has been charged with anger removing energy.

Anxiety: Use calming herbs like lavender or chamomile, and integrate the element of water through bowls or representations of flowing water.

Mild Depression: Turn to uplifting herbs like rosemary or lemon balm, and channel the element of fire through candles or sunlight.

Do you have a favorite activity, ritual, mantra, or Daemonic force you work with for anger, anxiety, or depression? Let’s talk about it in the comments!

NOTE: While Daemonic Magick can be transformative, it’s not a replacement for professional mental health support. If you’re experiencing severe emotional distress, it’s crucial to seek help from qualified professionals. Think of Daemonic Magick as a complementary practice that works alongside other forms of support.
